Projects - Industry promotions

With the generous support of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, the CNGF completed an extensive industry promotion project, which took place from March 2006 to March 2007 through the Other Ruminant Marketing Development.

Below is a list and brief description of the activities that were completed throughout the year.

The CNGF website was constructed to improve industry information and resource information.

9. Trade Show Development

A bilingual free standing display consisting of 4 units with individual messages were created to be displayed across Canada to promote the Canadian Goat Industry and Canadian Goat Products.

The CNGF promotion chair, Denise Chapleau and Promotion Coordinator, Guenette Bautz attended the North American Food Marketplace show SIAL MONTREAL at the end of March 2007. The tradeshow proved to very beneficial for the goat industry. Representatives from several countries expressed a great interest in Canadian goat products and several government officials visited the CNGF booth to discuss a variety of topics concerning the goat industry.
